Day 19: Villalcázar de Sirga - Ledigos

Today was another long walking day and it was quite a social one too. Yet another spectacular sunrise saw off the pilgrims and we walked the 6-ish k to the next town, pretty much a straight line of road. I liked the markers that this town had installed.

Coffee perked everyone up and many faces are familiar by now. And we continued.

The next phase of the Camino was another flat and straight part, not challenging walking but lacking some variety in scenery. The 17 k were long, but chatting with some Spaniards passed the time, all of us laughing and luckily there was a food truck rest stop about halfway.

When we finally arrived at the next village we  rewarded ourselves with a cool beverage, D phoned ahead to make a reservation and the 3 of us committed to walking to the next pueblo. The sun grew hotter; it is amazing how it can be cold in the morning and then summery hot by afternoon.

Some other walkers told me they thought this stretch was boring, but I love all of it.

The town doesn't have a lot, but the  albergue is clean and modern. Tomorrow I'm thinking that a shorter day is in order so that I can enjoy the space at the next albergue!

Kilometers walked:  25.55 (Fitbit), 28.82 (Buen Camino app).
